What to expect walking in the door?

You will be greeted by someone at the door.

What will happen?

We are a small group, usually about 30. We are a mixture of all ages.

People begin to arrive at 10:20am which gives a chance for a friendly chat and cup of tea or coffee. People drift in with the latest arriving about 10:40am by which time we will begin worship. This usually starts with a welcome and sung worship followed by a talk from the Bible, an opportunity to respond to the message and finishing with coffee and cake. Somewhere during the morning we have a slot for notices of upcoming events, news etc. We want visitors to feel comfortable with all that happens and realise not everyone likes to join with the singing etc, in this case feel free to remain seated during singing and observe and reflect on what is happening.

Does the church cater for babies?

We are family friendly and so are used to the sound of children. We are also aware that some parents and carers find it easier to relax if their children are being cared for and so we provide creche. There will be an announcement when the creche starts. At that point the creche leader collects the children and takes them out to the creche. We are happy for parents and carers to accompany their children into the creche and see where the children are and to help settle them. However, we respectfully request that parents and carers do return to the main service in keeping with our child protection policy. If your child does not settle a creche worker will come and let you know discreetly.

What happens to the children and young people?

All children/young people are welcome to stay in during the whole meeting. However, we do have particular activities for them if preferred.
