What to expect walking in the door?
You will be greeted by the person on the door.
What will happen?
The meeting will begin with a welcome including what is going to happen during the meeting. The usual format is a time of singing followed by a talk from the Bible, an opportunity to respond to the message and finishing with coffee and cake. We want visitors to feel comfortable with all that happens and realise not everyone likes to join with the singing etc, in this case feel free to remain seated during singing and observe and reflect on what is happening.
Does the church cater for babies?
We are family friendly and so are used to the sound of children. We are also aware that some parents and carers find it easier to relax if their children are being cared for and so we provide creche. There will be an announcement when the creche starts. At that point the creche leader collects the children and takes them out to the creche. We are happy for parents and carers to accompany their children into the creche and see where the children are and to help settle them. However, we respectfully request that parents and carers do return to the main service in keeping with our child protection policy. If your child does not settle a creche worker will come and let you know discreetly.
What happens to the children and young people?
All children/young people are welcome to stay in during the whole meeting. However, we do have particular activities for them if preferred. Find out more about our activities for children and young people.
