All get to share in the joy of giving!
The Wealthy can Give
1 Timothy 6:17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.
Prayer is absolutely vital if the work here in Moulsecoomb and Brighton is to make progress. The Apostle Paul called us to "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me,that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel," and Paul was clear why prayer is so important - we are in a spiritual battle!

Generosity, a heart issue.
We encourage you to be really generous. But being generous is not about how much you give, but the heart with which you give. If you can only afford to give a small amount, say £2 per month, you can give it just as joyfully and generously as a person who gives £100 per month.
We too love to be generous in the best way we can be. That is why, as a thank you to all who set up a standing order from £2 per month up, we will send to you what we believe to be the best Bible reading and study resource available; The Reformation Study Bible. Watch the video below to learn about it.

Join the Copper Coins Scheme
The widow of Luke 21:1&2 only had a couple of copper coins to put in the offering. Perhaps you just cannot afford to give much. But like the widow you can still be generous. There are two ways you can do this. 1) Set up a Standing Order for £2 per month (or whatever you feel you would like to give before the Lord) or 2) We will send you a 'Coppers' box. The idea is you encourage folks from your church to drop their 2p coppers in the box. We only ask for 2pence pieces - but of course, people can give whatever they like. The reason we only ask for 2 pence pieces is because we know many people lots of people like to save their small change. This way they can still save most of their small change - but just give us their 2 pence pieces. You then bank the cash when there is a reasonable amount in there and then make an electronic payment from your bank to ours. We are hoping to get lots of people sign up to this scheme so please encourage others to do the same.
If you would like to join this scheme, click the blue 'I'd like to give' button below to set up a standing order and obtain our bank details for electronic payments. Then email Julian to let him know you have become a partner in this way and it will be our pleasure to send to you the Reformation Study Bible as a thank you.
And the Poor can Give
1 Corinthians 8:1 And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2 In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3 For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4 they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. 5 And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.
Join our Barnabas Partner Scheme
Perhaps you are blessed to be able to give a larger amount. Barnabas was a wealthy man who was also a sacrificial and generous man (Acts 4:36,37) A ‘Barnabas Partner’ helps us to broaden our support base. By ‘Barnabas Partner’ we mean individual Christians who commit to giving substantially (£20 + per month) long term on a regular basis. This is our most effective strategy since, although individual donors tend to give less than a whole church, if they suddenly stop, it has less impact on us. If you would like to give in this way. Click the blue 'I'd like to give' button below to set up a standing order. Then email Julian to let him know you have become a partner in this way and it will be our pleasure to send to you the Reformation Study Bible as a thank you.
Join our Macedonian Partner Scheme
Out of their extreme poverty the Macedonians gave richly. We are not told how much they gave, but that doesn't matter. The Macedonian Partner Scheme is where we encourage people who will not give much - perhaps because they already support a major work - to give a small amount, say £10 per month. There is upward of 500 churches in FIEC alone. If we succeeded in just one donor giving £10 per month from 1/5 of FIEC churches, we will have raised £1000 per month. If you would like to join this scheme, click the blue 'I'd like to give' button below to set up a standing order. Then email Julian to let him know you have become a partner in this way and it will be our pleasure to send to you the Reformation Study Bible as a thank you.
